Retrofitting vehicles and machines in Low-Emission Zones
Retrofitting means a method of making an existing vehicle or machine more environmentally friendly by equipping it with an emission control device (DOC, PM filter, SCR system). Future legislation will make the new machines and vehicles clean within the next few years, but old heavily polluting vehicles are still in traffic, contributing to urban air pollution. In order to improve the air quality, many cities worldwide have implemented so-called Low-Emission Zones (LEZ) that require diesel machines and vehicles to meet a certain level of exhaust emissions before they are allowed to drive inside the zone.
Proventia's experience in retrofitting projects in major Asian and US cities, as well as in European Low-Emission Zones has established us as a pioneer in retrofitting projects globally. Our success is based on project-specific design, product optimization, extensive testing in both laboratory and field conditions, and flexible production close to the customer.
Proventia's deep understanding comes from performing various types of retrofitting projects. We know the various conditions of use of vehicles, maintenance methods, fuels used and local driving cultures. Proventia provides a wide range of retrofit solutions, which enables a reduction in engine emissions and improves the quality of city air at reasonable costs.
