Auxiliary power units (APUs) are used in trucks and other commercial vehicles to provide heating or cooling for the driver's sleeper cabin during downtime on the parking lot. APUs are powered by small diesel engines, resulting in a health risk to the people nearby.
Proventia's brand-new APU filter is currently progressing through the verification process with CARB. The efficiency of the Proventia filter has already been confirmed in emissions lab testing to exceed the CARB Level 3 VDECS requirements.

The electrically regenerated filter will first be available to fit onto the Thermo King TriPac APU. Filters will later be available for the Ponypack, Coolride, and Kohler-3APU. The Proventia filter can also be made to work on other APU models.
