Proventia to renew its organisation in response to accelerating growth

Environmental technology group Proventia will renew its company structure. On 3 September 2007, Proventia and its subsidiaries Finnkatalyt Oy, Enwa GmbH and Master Automation Group Oy will create a single operative entity under a common name. Operations will be reorganised into the Emission Control and Production Technologies business groups and the Ventures unit.

Proventia's Emission Control business group will include Finnish Finnkatalyt Oy and Swiss ENWA GmbH, who are developing cleaning systems for exhaust gases. In future, Finnkatalyt Oy will operate under the name Proventia Emission Control Oy and ENWA GmbH under the name Proventia GmbH. Jari Lotvonen, previously the President of Finnkatalyt Oy, has been named as the President of the business group.

Proventia's Production Technologies business group will include Master Automation Group Oy, which develops production and recycling technology, and will operate in future under the name Proventia Production Technologies Oy. In addition, the business group will include expert services for environmental responsibility. Teijo Fabritius, previously responsible for managing sales and marketing for Master Automation Group Oy has been named as President of the Production Technologies business group.

Ownership of other subsidiaries and associated companies has been centralised in the Ventures unit. The aim of the Ventures unit is to expand the operations of the group to new areas through company acquisitions and the development of new products itself and in co-operation with third parties. Lars Aikala has been named as Vice President of the Ventures unit

Operations connected to the group's finances and administration will be handled in the new organisation in a centralised manner. Marko Karppinen, who took over as CFO in Proventia in April, will be responsible for these areas.

The structural change will take place according to Proventia's strategy and its goal is to make the group's operations more efficient, support internationalisation, and to respond to the expanding needs of clients and statutory regulation.

"Our operations are growing strongly, and for the current financial year we are expecting turnover of almost 40 million euro, which would mean growth of 100 per cent from the previous year. Due to the reorganisation, our customers have the possibility to utilise the versatile technological expertise of our business operation groups. The skills in mechatronics in the Production Technologies group will strengthen our Emission Control operations, while emission restrictions are becoming tighter and purifiers are developing into more and more sophisticated systems," says Lauri Antila, Proventia's President and CEO.

Proventia's management group will be formed by Lauri Antila, President & CEO of Proventia Group; Marko Karppinen, CFO and Jari Lotvonen and Teijo Fabritius, Presidents of business groups.

All operations of Proventia in Oulu have been centralised to Oulunsalo, in Proventia House next to the airport. The premises operates as Proventia's technology centre and will soon have a new modern engine and emission laboratory.
