Proventia PROAIR^® DPFs with passive regeneration

PROAIR^® filters are based on the principle of passive regeneration.  In passive regeneration the soot oxidation temperature is lowered to a level which is reached during regular engine operation. The operation of PROAIR^® FKDPF 18 & 20, PROAIR™ Flex, PROAIR^® muffler replacements and FBC filters are all passive systems.

Proventia CHILI^® DPFs with active regeneration

CHILI^® filters are based on the principle of active regeneration. In active systems the temperature in the filter is raised to the point where the soot starts oxidizing, through the use of an outside energy source. CHILI^® filters use electricity for regeneration.
