Proventia Brightening Up the Future

Partial diesel particulate filter (pDPF)

The pDPF, or partial diesel particulate filter is technically a mix between DOC and DPF. In pDPFs the exhaust gas flows through filter material - which is why it can also be called a Flow Through Filter.

Cost-efficient system for first fits and retrofits

Partial diesel particulate filters are cost-efficient solutions for many retrofit projects thanks to their low investment and operating costs, as well as their tolerance of different fuel qualities and operating conditions. No wonder that Proventia's totally maintenance-free, yet effective partial diesel particulate filters have successfully been installed in tens of thousands of on-road vehicles globally.

PDPF technology is an excellent choice for off-road machines like material handling equipment for instance. PDPF devices are in use in both first fit and retrofit off-road applications.

Safe, user-friendly solution

In comparison to DPFs the risk of blocking is low since the back pressure does not exceed the maximum. Even extended operation under low temperature conditions does not block the system.

Technical features

  • PM reduction by 40-70 %, depending on duty cycle and engine out emissions.
  • HC and CO reduction by 80-90 %
  • Suitable for the diesel engines >20 kW, both for light-duty and heavy-duty off-road and on-road applications, if  exhaust gas temperature is over 240° C during 10 % of the operating time
  • Maintenance-free
  • Medium space requirement
  • Robust system for various operating conditions
  • Suitable for retrofits as well as for first fits.
