Operation Principle

Proventia's diesel particulate filter collects soot from the APUs engine exhaust. The filter regenerates itself by burning the collected soot using 12VDC electricity from the batteries. The daily operation and regeneration does not require any actions from the driver. After the regeneration, the APU will restart again automatically, if needed, to provide air conditioning, heat or battery charging. The filter status light located in the sleeping compartment will show a steady green light during the regeneration as a courtesy notification to the driver.
