Filter servicing
Diesel particulate filter elements are designed to capture particulates from the exhaust gas. Particulates are mainly carbon-based, and passively regenerated filters are self-cleaning systems when the correct temperature level is reached.
In the long run small metal parts come loose from the moving parts of the engine. Also, fuel and lubrication oil contain incombustible additives that will get mixed with the exhaust gas. A certain amount of those parts and additives is stored in the porous wall of the DPF and depending on the engine and oil used; the accumulated ash starts to restrict the exhaust flow through the filter wall. This will increase the back pressure. When the back pressure limit is reached, filter cleaning is required.
Flexible & reliable filter cleaning service
Regular filter cleaning elongates filter lifetime and improves filter cleaning efficiency. Proventia provides full filter cleaning services for your continuously regenerating filters. Proventia filter cleaning includes:
- The filter is weighed and the condition is checked before cleaning.
- The filter is cleaned with pressurized air and when needed, also regenerated in controlled hot oven.
- The filter is weighed and the condition is verified after cleaning.
- A complete service report is provided from the cleaning process.
Our technical service centers provide replacement filters as well. Call the service centers for more information on filter servicing and replacements:
