Innovators, engineers and problem solvers that's what we are. Above all, we are fellow human beings, and partners to our customers. Together, we combat climate change and air pollution with modular test solutions and off-road machinery systems and components for engine, machine, and vehicle industries.
Your key to success: prepare for future emission standards and keep your machines energy efficient. Agile, innovative with high quality with us.
Improve local air quality rapidly and cost-effectively. Retrofit your machines, buses, coaches, trucks, and vans. When the goal is to cut the emissions down.
Modularity is the way we build the test cells and centers. Whether it´s climatic testing or abuse testing of batteries, performance and lifetime testing of battery cells or testing of hydrogen fuel cells.
When temperature matters, we provide high-performance and innovative insulation solutions for demanding engine applications. Any quantities.
Take a major step towards zero emissions with Proventia Batteries. It´s about developing high-power batteries for hybrid and electric off-road machinery.
Our engineers in action! They create bold solutions towards a low-carbon and zero-emissions future. Join us and see how our experts make it happen.
One of Norway’s biggest bus companies, Unibuss AS, chose Proventia NOxBUSTER® City systems to upgrade 30 buses from the Euro 5 to Euro 6 emission standard. The Proventia NOxBUSTER® City DPF +SCR system reduces both particulate matter (PM) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) to the minimum, making the buses from 2012 as clean as new vehicles.
“Proventia NOxBUSTER® City system is a cost-effective way to reduce NOX emissions, as it uses standard AdBlue®, which is available at petrol stations everywhere. The installation does not require any additional devices or changes to the bus structure. These were both significant advantages for Unibuss”, says Petri Saari, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Proventia. “Additionally, each bus is fitted with Proventia PROCARE™ Drive, a web-based monitoring system that provides continuous updates of the level of NOx emissions from the buses, and also where they are travelling and how well the retrofit system is working”, Saari continues.
The Proventia NOxBUSTER® City retrofit system has been tested by independent test organizations in laboratories and in PEMS tests in Finland, Sweden and Germany. It has been specifically developed for stop-and-go city traffic with low exhaust gas temperatures. Proventia systems are already in use in Finland, Sweden and now Norway as well, so its impeccable operation has been proven in practice also in arctic conditions.
“Unibuss is the first company in Norway to retrofit older buses with effective exhaust aftertreatment systems. We get relatively big environmental benefits for a reasonable price. The NOx emissions from the retrofitted buses have decreased by 90–96%”, says Frank Reichel, Technical Director at Unibuss.
Unibuss AS is one of the largest bus companies in Norway, with 1,800 employees, of whom 1,500 are bus drivers. Unibuss has 750 buses in daily traffic. The company has one of the nation's most environmentally friendly bus fleets, consisting of hydrogen buses, biogas buses, biodiesel buses and hybrid buses. Unibuss operates city bus routes and school buses in Oslo, Akershus, Vestfold and Oppland. The company also runs airport shuttle buses, express buses and coaches.
