Major order for Proventia from Korea

Finnkatalyt Oy, a member of Proventia Group, has landed a major order from Korea involving retrofit exhaust purification kits. The order is worth over 10 million euros. Shipments will start immediately and continue until the second half of August.

Finnkatalyt has been an active player on the Asian exhaust purification market since 2002, first supplying retrofit kits in Hong Kong and most recently participating in projects in Korea. The new order has materialized as a result of an initiative by the Korean Ministry of the Environment (MOE) to reduce vehicle-borne emissions in Seoul. The products are based on maintenance-free user-friendly pDPF technology, which has proven especially ideal for retrofitting and helps to significantly reduce emissions of vehicle-borne particulates that are extremely harmful to health. The filters will be fitted to trucks and buses operating within the metropolitan area of Seoul.

'We have been doing systematic work in Korea for many years now both in terms of product development and finding the right partners. Last year proved to us that the Korean market holds excellent promise and the forecasts are now beginning to materialize into orders,' explains Jari Lotvonen, President of Finnkatalyt Oy. 'The volumes ordered will be shipped to Korea in several consignments. The final assembly and fitting of the products will be carried out by our local partner in Korea,' he adds.
