This year, Pohjois-Suomen Hallituspartnerit ry has awarded the Tamminen Nuija (Oak Gavel) to Proventia Group Ltd for the high standard of work of the Board of Directors. The company awarded with the Tamminen Nuija has also been nominated for the national “Kultainen Nuija” (Golden Gavel) competition to represent Northern Finland.
Proventia is an environmental technology company, providing technologies and services for engine and machine and vehicle manufacturing industry. Head Invest Ltd, owned by Veikko Lesonen and his family, founded Proventia Group in 2001 as an operator in the field of clean air, water and energy. In the beginning, Proventia Group was a private equity company that invested in companies operating in the environmental sector, such as Winwind, HFT Network, Proventia Solutions and Finnkatalyt. By 2012, Proventia Group had given up all other minority holdings and focused solely on the emission control solutions of Finnkatalyt, founded in 1994 (Proventia Emission Control Ltd since 2007). Most of the turnover is from international business.
The Board has had, and will continue to have, a significant role in the development of strategy, investing and guiding the growth. The open cooperation between the Board and the operative management plays a key role in the success of the company.
During the past six years, the company has constantly developed new business operations, emphasising the importance of the long-term strategic work of the Board.
As a result of the strategic work, Proventia has developed two new business areas: testing and thermal insulation. These new business areas are expected to offer significant opportunities for growth in the future.
