Proventia supplies electric car testing technology to Jaguar Land Rover

The technology company Proventia supplies an R&D and testing centre for electric cars to British car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover. The testing centre will be part of Jaguar Land Rover’s investments in sustainable development and electric car technologies in line with its Reimagine strategy. The value of the transaction is more than EUR 10 million.

Multinational Jaguar Land Rover is a global car manufacturer that makes some half a million vehicles a year. Jaguar Land Rover represents the premium class of the British automotive industry. In its new strategy published in 2021, the company focuses on carbon neutral business and will introduce several fully electric car models in the next few years.

In recent years, Proventia has invested significantly in technologies for the electrifying vehicle and machine industries. Company’s test solutions for electric cars are designed and manufactured at its Oulu plant. Proventia estimates that it will recruit tens of employees in the near future in electrical, automation and mechanical engineering, as well as in project management and production.


The R&D and testing centre of Jaguar Land Rover will be based on Proventia’s modular test facility concept.
