Retrofitting in Seoul, Korea

In Seoul, South Korea, retrofitting became a topical issue in 2004. Finnkatalyt (Proventia operated under the name Finnkatalyt until 2007) was ready to participate in the tender process.

After comprehensive testing involving shipping engines, vehicles and exhaust systems back and forth between Korea and Finland, the company won the first contract and became a supplier for the Korean retrofit project. Within 24 months, Finnkatalyt supplied tens of thousands of retrofit devices to Seoul, improving city air quality.
