At Bauma 2025, Proventia, a Finnish technology company, will showcase its new European-built Energy battery packs, which utilize advanced lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology. The new Proventia Energy battery is designed to be robust and safe, offering a long cycle life and high thermal stability. These batteries are highly compatible with various non-road applications such as wheel loaders, excavators, material handling equipment, and more. They can be used for full electric operation or as a zero-emission energy source in hybrid systems.

Proventia Energy batteries are developed in collaboration with the Norwegian battery cell manufacturer Morrow Batteries. Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery technology is recognized for its environmental benefits, as it avoids using nickel and cobalt — materials often linked to environmental and ethical concerns. Instead, LFP batteries utilize iron and phosphate, which are abundant, non-toxic, and easily recyclable. This composition contributes to their reputation as a more sustainable battery technology solution.

The standard Proventia Energy battery pack measures 750 mm in width and 170 mm in height across all standard sizes, with the length varying based on the number of modules. These standard batteries are available in configurations of 5, 6, or 8 modules, which can be connected in series to achieve the desired system voltage. The battery packs can be configured to operate within a voltage range of 190V to 1000V, offering flexibility for various voltage requirements. The modular design allows for easy scalability, as multiple packs can be connected in series and parallel to reach the desired voltage and capacity.
