Emission regulations have a big impact on heavy machines, like those in the construction and agricultural industries. Proventia delivers complete exhaust aftertreatment systems, including Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), AdBlue® mixing, Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF), and Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) technologies for off-road applications. Proventia is proud to be nominated as an emission control partner by several OEM manufacturers during recent years.

What Makes Proventia’s EATs the Best in the World?

It’s simple, Proventia’s SCR and AdBlue® expertise. The SCR system is as good as its Adblue® mixer, which mixes Adblue® into the exhaust gas to remove nitrogen oxides over the SCR catalyst. If the mixer doesn’t perform well, neither does the SCR system.

Proventia has dedicated significant effort to developing mixers to the highest standards, addressing issues like managing AdBlue® injection and preventing blockages that cause system malfunctions. Proventia’s mixers respond quickly and effectively to variations in exhaust gas volume caused by sudden braking and heavy lifting, for instance.

Product development has focused on optimizing the size and performance of the mixers. They can be assembled in almost any orientation to fit into the tight engine compartments of heavy machinery. Thanks to the efficiency of the high-end mixers, the systems are able to operate even when the machine is still cold.

Proventia’s patented core innovations have been in use in real-world applications worldwide for many years. The same generation is still being sold, manufactured, and used, but new solutions are continuously being developed alongside them.

At the heart of the business: Customer focus

Proventia’s scope in emission control is on machines and equipment used in construction, agricultural, mining, and material handling sectors. The company stands out through active customer service and flexibility. Proventia is always willing to modify their products to fit the customers’ framework, not the other way around. At Proventia, continuous feedback leads to efficiency in product development, which is essential in providing customers with functional and customized solutions.

Proventia values customer satisfaction and consistently receives positive feedback while growing its business, and therefore impresses with impactful references. In the last five years, Proventia has secured an OEM contract each year from a major engine manufacturer in the non-road machinery segment.

It’s no secret that the industry’s premium engines and tractors, for instance, are equipped with Proventia’s EAT systems.

Proventia’s EATs are known for their modular structure.

Agile product development

Proventia’s product development projects stand out due to their high level of customer support. Customers receive customized solutions for their specific challenges, while keeping costs under control thanks to the platform approach. The modular solutions that have been successfully tested in the past can be applied to various products and machine-specific configurations.

Proventia platform EAT design concept allows various installation types and orientations.

Proventia is focused on fast product development and prototyping. Product development, simulation, testing, validation, and prototype manufacturing all take place under one roof at Proventia Technology Center in Oulu, Finland. The facilities make the process extremely fast and agile, allowing Proventia to run repetitions, cycles, and validation rounds more cost-effectively and efficiently.

From the designer’s simulation results to the creation of a professionally made prototype and its comprehensive testing, it typically takes only 2-3 weeks, and if necessary, even just one week.

The manufacturing plant in Czechia has a capacity of 50,000 pieces annually, which covers most of the bigger clients’ needs. However, it remains flexible in terms of scale and is able to adapt to customer requirements, including producing smaller batches of dozens or hundreds of pieces.

Proventia has recently expanded its Czech Factory by 2000 m2 and continues to invest in the latest manufacturing technology and production capacity.
Proventia invests in engineering, testing and validation capabilities and is currently expanding its Technology Center in Oulu, Finland.

Future of emission control

The emission regulations will evolve in the coming years, requiring vehicles to meet even stricter emission standards. In the future, Proventia Emission Control has prepared to grow its business. The R&D projects will be even more complex and comprehensive – for example, the machines with the patented ideas and new solutions to be applied will vary from smaller to larger engines. Specifically, the integration of hybrid systems and battery technology will be a key part of future development.
