Tighter emission regulations, people’s safety and fuel economy are presenting increasing challenges for all stakeholders – including companies working with heavy machinery and equipment, as well as equipment manufacturers. Thermal protection is crucial for optimal emissions reduction, safe surface temperatures, and improved energy efficiency, Proventia provides comprehensive thermal insulation solutions to meet these critical needs.

Dual Approach to Thermal INSULATION

Today’s technologically complex machines demand thermal insulation that fits in the confined engine compartments. Proventia’s tailored thermal insulation products are suitable for insulating engine components, such as exhaust manifolds, turbochargers, piping, and naturally the EATs.

Good insulation retains heat in desired areas. Keeping the heat in the right place enhances the performance of the EAT and improves fuel economy. If the temperature gets too low, the system doesn’t work optimally, which also leads to an increase in emissions and fuel consumption. An alternative for proper insulation is to use electric heaters, but their costs are significantly higher. On the other hand, insulation protects the sensitive components of the engine from high heat, preventing damage like melting of wires. Insulation also protects people and enhances occupational safety.

Cost-effective and Smart Products

In Proventia’s offering, there are three categorized types of insulation products:

Heat shields are suitable for high-temperature areas like exhaust systems. The custom-shaped insulation shields are visually appealing and perfectly suited for high-value equipment and machinery.

Cladding products are available in two different versions: light and heavy duty. Heavy-duty cladding products are suitable for special applications, like combine harvesters and mining equipment. Tooling costs are minimized or there are none, which means amortization of tooling is reasonable even with the low volumes. They offer protection against fire, heat and dust.

Light-duty cladding products are for cases when investing in specialized tooling is not economically viable, for example, when production volume will be small. They are also easy to remove and reinstall for e.g. maintenance purposes.

Heavy-duty insulation cladding offers utmost protection for fire, heat and dust.
Light-duty insulation cladding are easy to remove and reinstall.

Soft, removable insulation blankets are meant for lighter applications. The manufacturing of insulation blankets does not require specific tools, so they are a cost-effective option.

Comprehensive and fast processes for customer satisfaction

Proventia offers a strategic blend of technical expertise, manufacturing flexibility, and customer-focused service. Proventia is able to tailor its process to the customer’s level of preparedness, from clients who come with detailed specifications to those who need guidance in solving a problem. Deep knowledge in both insulation and emissions technologies offers unique solutions that combine these fields. This distinguishes Proventia from other insulation manufacturers.

Ability to react quickly is a great asset and Proventia is known for rapid response times and high delivery reliability, especially under tight deadlines. The quick turnaround on orders and prototypes is thanks to cost-effective, flexible manufacturing methods for the components, which speed up the production of prototypes and pre-series.

The prototyping and specialized design services are located under one roof in Oulu, Finland. Serial production is carried out in Proventia’s high-end factory near Brno, Czech Republic. The location of the factory enables cost-effective and smooth transportation for European clients. In Proventia’s factory, there is the ability to scale production efficiently, from small batches (less than 100 units) to large volumes, up to 100,000 units annually, which allows flexibility in catering to different customer needs.

Proventia also offers service concepts where they handle the installation of the insulation. The customer receives a series of fully insulated parts and doesn’t have to worry about the installation. This depends on the customer’s needs, but typically, the exhaust systems are delivered fully insulated.

We manufacture and assemble high-quality insulation directly onto customers’ components at the Proventia factory.
